I Timothy is a letter written by Apostle Paul to a young pastor named Timothy at the church of Ephesus. Paul was concerned about the church of Ephesus and gives Timothy advice and instructions on how to lead a church and how the believers should behave in God's church. As we explore I Timothy, we will find that this advice still applies to the church today.This is another "mark-it-up" series designed to help you to treat your Bible as a life textbook. Read it, mark-it-up and cross-reference your Bible so that it becomes your manual for life.

While 1 Timothy 4 defines characteristics of Godliness, 1 Timothy 5:1-16 gives a great illustration of Godliness in action as Paul discusses the care of widows with the early church. Pastor Chris applies the topic to today as he discusses the way we handle the spiritual and physical needs of others, the way we treat each other, and basic guidelines for Godliness.
