Message Message 10: For Richer or Poorer
Sermon Series 1 TIMOTHY: Doing Church God's Way
Scripture 1 Timothy 6:3-21
Date September 23-24, 2006
Teaching Pastor Pastor Chris Brown

I Timothy is a letter written by Apostle Paul to a young pastor named Timothy at the church of Ephesus. Paul was concerned about the church of Ephesus and gives Timothy advice and instructions on how to lead a church and how the believers should behave in God's church. As we explore I Timothy, we will find that this advice still applies to the church today. This is another "mark-it-up" series designed to help you to treat your Bible as a life textbook. Read it, mark-it-up and cross-reference your Bible so that it becomes your manual for life.

In a world obsessed with gaining wealth, its easy to forget that as Christians, our riches are waiting for us in our permanent home. This week, Pastor Chris continues our "Mark it Up" series in 1 Timothy 6:3-21. He talks about the two best ingredients for great gain: Godliness and contentment. God cares about our desires, not our possessions. How do you use what you have for the Kingdom?
